The serene Viatzo villas are nestled at the base of Mount Vrachionas, amidst the family’s olive grove. Viatzo, derived from the traditional Zakynthian dialect, translates to a leisurely stroll. Zakynthos, an island occupied by Venetians for over 300 years, embraced Italian culture which had a huge influence on its way of life. The name viatzo is derived from the Italian word viaggio evoking images of a sea voyage.
The villas are constructed with natural materials such as stone and wood, paying homage to the architectural style of the island’s farmhouses during the 17th and 18th centuries. The ochre-colored plaster on most of the stone walls adds to their rustic charm.
Among the olive grove, the sweet melodies of chirping birds and singing cicadas intermingle with the fragrant aroma of Greek herbs and create a serene ambiance that invites relaxation. The villas blend traditional and modern design elements seamlessly, creating a relaxing atmosphere perfect for leisure and enjoyment.
